Key Purpose of the Job:
? Ensure Vans quality standards, delivery timelines and customer requirements are accomplished
? Manage all pre-production and production related activities in the nominated vendor to ensure that production quality is being maintained to Vans standards and that “On Time Performance” obligations are being met
? Executes Vans Production Ops. strategic initiatives captured on OGSM such as: PRIDE,
Responsible Sourcing and METS
? Conduct in process inspection of factory incoming materials, cutting, stitching and assembly departments
? Conduct Final Quality Audit of finished product per AQL criteria
Key Areas of Responsibility
? Supports Vans Production Manager to manage daily activities in the assigned factory
? Supervise and evaluate the competencies of Certified Factory Auditor (s) under his/her structure on a regular basis and provides prompt feedback and guidance to drive high performance and improvement in competencies
? Execute T4 trials alongside with Commercialization Team to ensure Vans standards and requirements for the engineering and manufacturing of footwear
? Manage production related activities within his/her assigned factory to ensure that production quality is being maintained to Vans standards and that “On Time Performance” obligations are being met.
? Develop communication skills to deal with other departments such as: PRIDE/Lab along with factory teams to execute mass production
? Ensure Vendor conducts physical test following VF required standards accurately and correctly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Commercialization
? Execute T4 trial alongside with Commercialization Team ensuring vendor’s adherence to Vans quality standards
Production & Quality
? Execute Vans OGSM strategic initiatives such as: CSR Internal Checklist, PRIDE Internal Audit and OG Mold Audit.
? Lead and manage Certified Factory Auditor (s) in the designated factory (s)
? Evaluate CFA adherence to Vans quality standards by executing Weekly Calibration, and Shadow Audit.
? Make day to day decisions within defined scope, account for production area with defined scope of responsibilities.
